Spring Pruning for Home Gardens and Orchards at Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum

Saturday, February 17 , 2018

Got Spring Fever?  Join the WSU Master Gardeners for a workshop on Spring Pruning for Home Gardens and Orchards on Saturday, February 17 at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum on 115 SE Lake Street in Ilwaco from 10-11:30 am.

At this time of year gardeners are anxious to get out in the garden especially when the temperatures are warmer and more days are clear.  However, with our eagerness comes the realization that it's still winter. Spring is coming, but it's not here yet. Still, there are a few things gardeners can do "out and about" in the yard and garden.

Many plants and trees benefit from pruning for specific reasons at this time. These include health, safety and beauty.  Learn specific techniques for pruning ornamental plants, shrubs, fruit trees and caning berries.  There will be plants and demonstrations of pruning methods and handouts to guide you in keeping your plants looking their best!
